I rarely post, but you sir along with kylerwho are amongst a handful of folks who actually share sense and knowledge on this site. Seeing that MR-S makes me wonder why Lotus does not use a k series for the Elise instead of those VVT-I engines?

thank you kind sir.

actually, k20 swap into lotuses are pretty common. check this supercharged k20 lotus out. insane! looks like he has trouble controlling it

YouTube - lotus elise k20a engine swap

Oh man! i seriously had a smile from ear to ear watching that vid. An Elise has always struck me as "the great" balanced lightweight sports car of this decade. I have never seen one struggle to gain composure on the track, it was an awesome site. I would love to see a k20r without the charger, i think it would be a perfect marriage.

i used to say that the k20 fit would not do well on the track, but after i have seen this video it looks like it can handle just as well as the L15. i might have to ditch the supercharger and go k20

i would use a k20a2 head and k24a1 block or k24a4 block (i don't know which block to get. i don't know which one is better). i heard you can put these two together for pretty cheap

or just pick a Z3 from a wrecked 8th gen SI
stock form is plenty fast already

i read that k24 block + k20 head is not good for NA

damn spoon built K20 is balling. i wonder be scared of the k24/k20 hybrid on a circuit track. all that low end torque would create a lot of understeer.

Well I'm still gonna keep my L15 in my car for now & drive easy, but the k series is definitely what I want. But I'm gonna stiffen the body on my car moderately, but when I do decide to get the k-series, I'm putting a rollcage in my car & sparco seat. But this it.
