it looks like you got no oversteer in the video is that right? it didn't look like you had to do any correcting. lots of tire-squealing though, did you get a lot of understeer? i'm just curious.

Basically show up on time, pay/register attend the drivers meeting before the runs, pass car inspection and you race ready. It was really cool, and cheap. 35$ for 5 runs. Then we did 1$ fun runs before the lunch break, so i did 10 runs in all for a totall of 40$. Thats a great deal. Fun Runs are timed and all, they just dont go towards overall points standings in the series. All the runs in my vid. were my "fun runs"

SCCA is very similar, i belive its just show up and register there. Check it out. Look for a site that is local to you, and look for a schedule and some details.
thanks for the info bro hopfully next year i could get some runs in myself

i dont know how you would get oversteer in a FF... unless you use the hand brake.

understeer on the otherhand is notorious for FF.

what did you use to stabilize yourself on turns? primarily left handers?

you could get oversteer depending on the suspension setup, if you're braking hard into a turn or lifting off the throttle suddenly into a turn, or if the rear tires have less grip/tread than the fronts, or any combination of several factors, to name a few.

i'm curious if with his setup he got any oversteer since more than one person on these boards has stated that with a progress rear sway bar, the car tends to oversteer. it didn't look like it in his video though, so i hope he can clarify.

Thank you, it is very easy to spin or oversteer a FF. Drivetrain has nothing to do with it. The only oversteer you cant get with a FF is is powerover, but there are so many other ways for a FF to slide, Trailbraking, lift off, weight transfer etc.... not to steal thunder but heres my old civic..

TOOL: you car looks great man, glad your hooked on the sport. Making you car faster/handle better is useless unless you go out and legally use the car to its limits. Theres nothing more fun!

would've been funny after beating some of the cars, you pull up next to them, pop the rear hatch, unload the cooler and pull out a refreshing drink while looking at the other drivers saying "cheers, care for a drink?".

Belive it or not man, i actually almost spun in one of my unfilmed runs(we were having technical difficulty with the cam, thats why there were untaped runs). It was in the last S turn section, right before the finish. I just went in there all out, and got so much oversteer i almost spun of the course. It was intense, first time feeling oversteer in the Fit.
Also, sometimes going all out into some of the sharp corners, id feel my tail get a little out there, just a tad though. Cool feeling.
Yeah i understeerd a bit. But ALL cars out there on street tires were, even the AWD cars were understeering worse then me in some occasions. lol

How did i stabilize my body? Well, im very used to racing cars, well not cars but go-karts. I have done alot of that in my past, so im used to G-forces in corners. Although the Go-Karts i race have some serious bucket seats that hold you in, and WILL not let you move or slide around. The Fit seats on the other hand They did ok, but they arent racing seats.
You can see in the video how i lean into the corners, and just use my muscles i guess lol. My buddy in the passenger seats held onto the sides of his seat for dear life though haha.

Yeah im a avid go-kart enthusiasts haha.(i think im hitting the go kart track tonight lol)
Go-Karts is PERFECT training for AutoX. I found AutoX to be about 20x funner though!

I stated them in the description of the vid on youtube.

Progress Springs
Progress Sway Bar

Not much put into it, and the Fit really did great as far as handling.

^nice vid! i would have probably spun out if my rear got loose like that. i know how i'm supposed to react to correct it but i've never had the actual experience yet. i think everybody should autox if they have the opportunity; that way we can all react quickly and avoid crashing if we get into a bad situation on the road. i've been wanting to take my car to an autox event but they always fall on weekends when i'm not available.
