I used high temp (engine bay) flat black paint and the how-too write up that is here on fitfreak. Yes, it was a pain in the ass.

Judging from the grill on the Evo i think u'd dig on the J's grill for the fit. Just something i thought i'd throw out there. And i'm still laughing about the stickers on the volks. LOL. Overall the car looks great. Good job.

The fit however didn't keep me from going fast. I was on my way to a meet in Austin, TX back in april and got pulled over for 90 in a 70 and i know i was doing 100+ just before that. In my defense tho i'd been stuck behind 2 semis for like 15 mins and one of them was slowing down so i "sqeezed" in between them at about 90mph. And just hadn't slowed down when i went over a hill the trooper was behind LMAO. oh well

Its alright, not everyone takes a "conservative" approach to tuning. Its obviously not for you.

I hear you on that. Its still possible to break the law in the fit but the temptation isn't there like it was before.

Trying too hard??? That doesn't make sense, seeing as that the car is so fresh and simple. No carbon fiber this and that, no crazy lips or bodykits, that doesn't seem like he's trying to hard to me.

Benin tow hooks. I'm not so sure if I'm feelin them anymore I'd have to see the car with and without back to back.
