yea, you should have bought a black fit in the first place just for the door jams and the engine bay, but the yellow looks really good in person.

That woulda been sick if you started with a black car because it would look like a skunkwork engine bay. Looks really good hood closed, but if you ever show your car I hope you black out the engine bay

This is why i bought a black fit...

When i painted my ek yellow, i just used duplicolor black and clear in my engine bay. Pretty simple. Came out great.

I have nightmares about fluorescent green and orange cars. After the first F&F hella poseurs grafted air scoops onto the roofs of their DSMs and Teggys and painted them fluorescent colors.

whatsafit-any pics of your ek clean and showing the whole car? I like the red Valve cover on the d16. Was it a 96 or 97? My buddy had one in dark green with shaved doors, Jackson Racing Supercharger, and a front lip that looked like the 98-00 Si. I love EKs and EGs, biased to swaps though

I dont want to hijack this thread. i just wanted to show how clean it looks with a black engine bay. In my opinion, id paint the rims black and the engine bay black. But its a sweet car either way.

Shaggs2Dope, heres a link to my photobucket. all from that same day though.

Its a 96, also with a jackson racing sc.

My other car is a Satin White Pearl 07 STi (a fairly rare color for Subaru), but I badly wanted a yellow WRX when I bought my 05 (since totaled). I think 03 was the last year for yellow WRX's.

I had an 01 S2000 in Spa Yellow Pearl that I still get jizzy over. Loved that car. Drove it every day for 4 years, wish I still had it.

Props to the OP on the yellow Fit - dig it. I got one eff of a door ding the other day and thought about painting mine yellow which is why I dug up this thread. OP never said how much for the paint job huh?

How can you paint a brand new car a different color?

And yellow cars arent really my thing anyway.

Props for going your route I guess?
This makes me LOL hard now given what he did to his own car....

Very nice to see a Yellow Fit.Yellow is a very nice color in some cars. For example Ferrari cars in yellow looks amazing. This Fit looks great in yellow. I think that this car will be sick with a Tanabe NF210 drop,Tenzo-R 17" DC-6 in flatblack, tints all around and painting the hood in black.Keep the good work my friend.

Ok. I dont like it either, but i dont drive it so that doesn't matter. Its your car you paint it pink with purple polka dots if you want. All I say is this: big money paint, hids, car meets....but still no lowering? Slam that beeeotch. Upgrade rims to aftermarket (ge wheels dont count), color your choice, but black would give you a spoon replica. Leave bay closed. Im a oem paint guy, but thats just me. One thing for sure your shop probably did a better job than shitty honda painters do no doubt.
