balance is key..unless you really need the weight reduction for racing.

i dont get whats sooooooo wrong with rota they are a fine wheel with a great track record. they are VERY VERY affordable and a hand full are very good looking wheels.

now just cuz this wheel doesn't say Volk or Work or SSR does not mean it's not a good looking wheel

Nothing's wrong with them.

My Rotas look way better than the original wheels they were patterned from.

Some people place a high value on being "original", but they wind up saying the same dumb crap as everyone else.

That wheel would say SSR, its the SSR Firrenze knock off.
And the real SSR's dont come in that colors.

From what I know theyre all white, all silver, or all gold.

I wouldnt say Rota's look better. Normally the overall quality is better on the real wheels
Paint, masking, just the little things.

Granted from a distance they all look the same.

I dont have a hate for knock offs. I dont really like when people call my wheels Rotas though.

yah, my gunmetal Drag 21's look better than the original RPF1's on my car
since it's silver. i like how they look on the car so i got them... plus, on
a dd, it gets ruined pretty quickly.

i have SSR GT3 wheels with RE050A PolePosition tires that are $1k each
corner on my G35C and i dont go out knocking on folks with cheaper
wheels. hell, at one time i had 2 full sets. i also have brand new BBS
wheels with SportMaxx Dunlops (made in japan) on my cooper-s.

i think it's stupid to be running expensive wheels on a
cheap car unless you absolutely need the weight reduction edge...
otherwise it's no different than having a non-functional huge wing
on a riced-out civic.

as posted already, balance is key.

rota's, konigs, tsw's, drags are fine on the Fit's and Civics and most
lower-end cars out there.

I think my Rota RB's look a lot better than the Panasports and Watanabes they are patterned after.

The spokes have a sharper angle to them and they also have a polished lip, which none of the original designs have.

I can understand pride of ownership and not liking people mistaking your originals for knockoffs, but the knockoff haters seem to never miss an opportunity to parrot the same comments.

It's just like when rotas first became popular, everybody wanted to rock 'em..now the trend is to hate on them.
