New Wheels....finally

Well a few months ago, i was driving on the highway and i hit a huge hole in the road under an overpass and destroyed two of my Rotas, long story short, tried to get some compensation from the Dept of Transportation and got nothing. Here are some pictures.

I waited almost two months for a response and they said it wasn't their responsibility since they take good care of the roads......right.

Anyway, the 16" rotas were 16 lbs, the new wheels i got are much lighter.

New wheels are Konig Daylights, weighed them in the house and they are 10lbs a piece. Put new Falken ZIEX912 on them, love the tires, grip good and have zero vibration and no roadforce issue.

I went with a bit smaller tire to pick up quicker, plus these were available and i would of had to wait, i went with a 195/50/15 instead of the stock 195/55/15.

Wheels are actually orange, they look redish in the pictures, but are bright orange, the centers are silver, so i decided to leave them off for now till i can find some to color match. Lightweight wheels, plus i installed some Unorthodox pullies also the night before, so its a bit more zippy around town.

good stuff dude!I can't believe the rotas fell apart like that!!the 40 series tire probably didn't help though, had those on the ol' civic, ride was pretty harsh!

195/50's are a good size though

be safe man!

the rotas were broken, if you look at the lip, you can see through, i could not drive them home, they wouldn't hold air. I hit the hole at 130 km/hr, car almost went airborn.

New wheels are definitely different. Why not make the centers black? Would look pretty good I think.

Since you went with a smaller tire than stock, do you notice your mpg decreasing? If so, how much would you say it decreased?

Nice wheels man!

It takes some courage to rock high contrast wheels like that but they look great.

I was going to go with some orange Rota Attacks for my Fit but decided on yellow for my VBP.
