My Brazilian Fit

Hey everyone, I live in Brazil and I'm also new here.
Just thought I'd share some pics of my 2008 Fit.

Nice ride! I like the yellow dash compared to the US blue. I see you also get the signal side mirrors and a nicer looking grill insert. I haven't been to Brazil since 2005 and I don't recall seeing a Fit in Curitiba, but then again I traveled for 12 hours each way to spend 24 hours in Curitiba to do some training for a customer.

Welcome to Fitfreaks.

What color is that called? Maybe it's the lighting, but it doesn't look to me like Nighthawk Black Pearl or Storm Silver Metallic. Looks great, whatever it is.

According to the Brasilian website, it's gotta be either Prata Global Metálico which translates to Global Silver Metalic, or it's Grafite Magnesium Metálico which I'm sure you can figure out.

Nice car! And those wheels looks nice on that car.

We have the same color here in Norway and it is called Sparcle Grey Metallic.

You have the same color on the gauges, but not the electronic AC as we have here.

Seems like a diffrent radio too. My did not have that display anyway. But the control buttons is identical. Do you have radio controls on the steering wheel?

That grill is an option here in my country. It actually looks realy good on the car with this color.

Welcome to the forum and congratulation with the car.

I saw those wheels on the Honda Mexico site. I wanted them instantly. remind me of ITR wheels. I would polish the shit out of them.

It's the "Grafite Antártico Metálico", the darkest gray fit color there's available down in Brazil. You can check it at :: Novo Honda Fit 2008 ::
Actually his car is pretty much the same as mine, the same color, everything is OEM, except for the rear wing, which I do not have.

The wheels are 14'' and I've seen them for sale in japanparts.com - link below. I THINK they'll ship to US, I've never used their services, but read about some who used - Illusive (user), if I'm not mistaken.

japanparts.com : PARTS DATABASE

I'll post some pictures of my car when I get some mods done! That might take a while though! Lol

Later!

The color is called Grafite Antartico.
Unfortunately we don't have radio controls on the steering wheel
And also our radio don't play mp3.

Everything from everywhere else has better stuff than the U.S. Even American made/sponsored stuff is better overseas than it is here.

Arising this thread from the ashes! :-)

I'm also brazilian and bought myself a '07 Honda Fit EX 1.5 VTEC with MT on 09/Jan/2009.
It's actually my very first car! Cheers! \o/

Well, I'm here to make my first post to the forum (which I have been following for a while). I'll post some photos of my car (taken with my cell phone, though I do intend to take better ones with my DSLR later) and ask people about some things.

The second I closed the deal at the Honda Dealer (Beni Car - Campinas/SP/Brazil):

Two days later, going there to take it home:

The keys and remote-control:

The Panel registering the mileage: 12.8 kilometers per liter!

Back of the car (Apple's sticker put by me, hahaha):

My Fit (foreground) and my friend's (background) (hers is a '08 LXL Flex-fuel):

That's it! Hope you enjoy! I certainly am!

Now a few questions for "juniortanamati", the Brazilian who started this thread:

1) You have fog lights on you Fit. Are those original and installed on a Honda Dealer or did you get those installed somewhere else (aftermarket)?
Where did you put the on/off switch for them? Next to the electric mirrors control (see link below)? How expensive are them?
http://www.las.ic.unicamp.br/~saffi/fit/fitfreak/17012009263.jpg

2) Yours have a little wing on the top of the trunk glass. I've seen lots of Fits with those, here in Brazil. Are they Stock-Market or are they aftermarket?

3) I've noticed that you're using the AUX input source on one of your photos, with the radio connected to an iPod. We both know Brazilian Fits didn't come AUX-ready. I've seen topics around FitFreak.net talking about the missing connector on the back of the radio. Can I find it on a Honda Dealer or do I have to search for aftermarket parts? I also have an iPod (and a Nokia N95) which I'd like to use plugged in the AUX source but just can't since the radio didn't come fully prepared for that.

Well, that's it. I'll come back later to post new (AKA "better") photos of my Fit. Thanks for all the attention, guys!

Best regards!

Welcome! Black Fits are awesome, I wish I had bought one too. But I had other black cars before and I know how hard it its to keep it clean everyday.
Hope you enjoy your new ride!
