Vector Graphic File for the Fit Logo

I need a high quality vector graphic of the fit logo. You know, this one:

If you can post it, email it to me, or whatever, that would be great!

Give me $100 and I'll take your Fit logo picture in your signature and vectorize it for you.

Copying someone else's work and then charging for it is so Microsoft. I respect free enterprise, but I personally stick to dealing with more open-source minded people. So instead of paying someone $100 bucks for something, or even $50, I will just make it myself when I have time this weekend. Then, I will post it up for everyone else for free.

I am sorry, I was really talking about the first person. I just skimmed the replies and threw out the numbers I recalled.

It is generous of you to offer to do it for free.

I am making a custom skin for StreetDeck--a touchscreen driven CarPC interface that runs on Windows XP. I want the interface to look as OEM as possible. Rendering gui components using strokes and objects directly from the Fit logo would be the best way to maintain the Fit brand in the software.

well what file format would the vector have to be in?
and resolution if it's a normal file format (i know vectors can be as large or as small as you need them to be)

if it's possible,
i can probably get it knocked off tonight

I use Inkscape and Xara mostly. They work well with eps or standard svg vector graphic files, in addition to their proprietary files of course. The final skin will support two resolutions, 800x600 and 1024x768.

Really though, don't put yourself out to do it. If you have better things to do, even just sleeping, it is not a big deal for me to wait till the weekend to do it myself. I was just hoping someone already had one done.

Also, I already have a high quality bitmap of the logo, so photoshoped version will not help out. I want the vector elements to copy and use in other graphics for the interface. I hope that makes sense.

well i can definitely help you out, but since i can't actually make the vector
i can make it easier for you

i found a picture with a really good "fit" logo on a solid color background, so it should be easy

yeah, but you could just use like... the pen tool to make a vector out of the logo right?
i'm sorry, it's been so long since i've messed with vectors, and i've only made one
and that was for the tutorial

whoa, easy dude. I wasn't being serious either about that, sorry if it seemed that way. Shouldve added the little "j/k".

Guess my jokes need some work.

I don't ever assume any sort of tone when I read stuff online. It usually leads to ever worse misunderstandings, in my experience. Its not a big deal though, I suppose the lost tone in my initial response made me seem upset too. I think I should just add more comedic emoticons to my posts.

That is awesome actually. Most vector graphic programs now have a tracing tool built in. They work best with a very clean bitmap like the Fit logo in the image you found. That actually cuts the graphics work in half. Bravo!

yeah i know exactly what you mean.
sometimes it's hard to get people's "tone" unless you know them, but then still sometimes, you can't tell.

I finished the first stage of the vector graphic, if anyone wants it. I will add the brushed metal look for the emblem later this week.

I have two file types, svg for Inkscape--an open source vector graphics software available for free at Inkscape. Draw Freely., and eps--for all other vector graphics programs.

svg: https://trac.hildoer.com/fit_logo.svg
eps: https://trac.hildoer.com/fit_logo.eps
