So sexy it's disgusting.

Also wondering about the paddle shifters being swapped. When I first saw this I thought you got them steering mount mounted but guess not. :S Either way your car is gorgeous and I never knew you had the automatic! Mad respect for you!

If there is a way to get the radio controls to work with the deck, that would be awesome. Theoretically, I believe it can be done...

Thanks for all the comments guys. Still a bit of work to do to get it fully functional. The plug for the wiring is not the same, so i'll have to cut the plug off of the stock steering wheel and wire it up to the new one. Actually the CSX wheel and the FD2 wheel may look the same but they're not. I'm currently using the rear panel from the CSX (to fit the paddle shifters) and a lot of the holes do not line up to the FD2 holes. For those with manual transmissions, this shouldn't be a problem for you as all you'll need to do is add the wiring and switches for the CC.

Not sure about the airbag being the same or not, but it plugs in without the SRS light coming on on the dash.

Yes they are, contact Ben @ A&J for more info.

I don't think you can change the paddles as they're specifically designed for the style of wheel. The only thing you could do is go custom. The pedals are Mugen.

The size is pretty much the same.

There is a thread on this in the ICE forum where someone purchased the JDM Fit steering wheel controls and tried to hook them up to the stereo and it was not successful.

Looks really sex! for an OEM style wheel. I just wish they were smaller diameter. I miss my cruise control sometimes

Thumbs up

Looking good. I'm sure just the feel of the leather alone justifies it.

That wheel bares a strong resemblance to the 2008 Civic Si and 2009 Fit wheel.

The leather wrap and red stitching really sets it apart though. The Fit also has a couple extra buttons.

Wonder if one could just swap the frame of the wheel and the red H emblem.
Then you could just swap over the SRS (if possible) equipment and trim (once the 09's come out) for a fraction of the cost.

#4 is $180 for the Si. Probably the same for the R plus a 100% JDM markup.

I bought it online back in 06 from floridarsx.com. The URL doesn't work anymore though.....this guy was selling them to match the Mugen pedals.

I think it's basically the same wheel although one thing I found between the FD2 wheel and the CSX wheel is that they may look the same, but they are not built the same. The two wheels had about 6-8 holes which did not line up to each other and I had to use parts from both wheels to get the paddle shifters installed. If you're not an auto or concerned with the paddle shifters, then that shouldn't be a problem!

great job on the steering wheel retrofit!
Sorry man, I totally missed this question!!!

Anyways, no I didn't paint the HVAC knobs, but I bought them like this. I'm currently looking at getting another set that is more 'chrome-like'....and I agree with you....it does look like someone took a can of 'chrome' paint and painted them!!!

No, i haven't had the time to look into it.

I've just gotten a hold of the wiring schematics for the CSX wheel, so I might be able to get it done this weekend??
