My Fit go nicked!
Well, my Fit got nicked in the parking lot where I live. A neighbor lady with an old Ford station wagon was backing out of her spot when the trailer hitch on it poked my rear bumper, also damaging the lip.
Not sure what I will do next. I could file against her insurance and get my car fixed, or take my roommate's suggestion, which is get an estimate, try to get cash from her, and not fix the car. That way, it won't have to get reported to her insurance company. I probably wouldn't do anything if the car was a few years old, but I just bought it about 3.5 months ago.
Here are the pics of the damage, which ain't too bad. What do you guys think?

u shouldnt have to report to ur insurance. tell her to make her insurance pay and leave urs out of it. and if she doesnt wanna do that then u can offer her to get estimates and pay cash. did it not long ago with my brothers chevy extreme

First... make her insurance pay... and at least yours lasted 3.5 months... i had mine less than a week when someone either opened their door or let a shopping cart go into my rear fender and dented and chipped my paint...

Man, that sucks. I agree with the others - make her insurance or her $$ pay. The car is too new to let it look like crap. That's what insurance is for - she should understand. And by all means stay out of her way. Too many people back up without even looking.

naw dude....stay true to the fit.
get the insurance to pay up the estimate.(from honda )
then what you do...you take 2 band aids and cross them over the bumper scar.
use the rest of the money to modify it haha
if it was me thats what i would do, that looks small...i would fix it myself later on.
