My '08 BOM AD-Ons
#22
Good call! It's 1969 GTO Judge convertable "clone" ( meaning it's not a numbers matching car w/ other pontiac parts over the years from other owners. Kills the collector value but not the fun! )
But at 8-10 mpg I don't drive it much these days.
Thx for all the comments.
Yes, that's a lot of different shades of orange for one garage. No I don't have an orange fettish. It' was all coincidence. The last cars were yellow and graphite grey.
Yes, I agree the $$ spent on the leather seats ( major looks improvement IMO even though the color does not match that closely to the body), and such are a bit much on a car that only cost me $16.2k.
But that still gets her a fun stylin' and reliable high mpg car under $19k that should last a long time.
Plus giving her what she wanted kept her from complaining too much about my buying the Vette!

I believe that is a standard Corvette and not a Z06. I don't see the little hood scoop/vent at the front of the hood. The Z06 is absolutely ballistic and so is the standard Corvette!

Then he must have upgraded to the Z06 wheels because those are it. But I dont see the scoop either.

Correct again. This is an '08 Vette I bought from a guy who got it in August. He added the Z06 copy wheels.
This thing is crazy fast. I'm almost afraid of it. This is my upgrade from the Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo which I thought was rediculously fast. I'd had it for the past 10 years and loved it, but could not keep them all.
I think the base Vette is supposed to do 4.5 sec 0-60.
I'm actually still a bit afraid of it. No need for the $$$ Z06 IMO.
And did I mention it got 29 mpg on the trip home from CT!!
By the way, I just added some bike rack pics. I'm a little concerned b/c of the overall length as it's pretty wobbly. I could not find a hitch for the Fit w/ a 2" connector standard so I had to purchase the 1-1/4" then add an adopter to fit the 2" bike rack.
Given the one of the hitch mount points is to the car's little tow loop I'm concerned that it could fail after a while w/ the weight & movement.
If anyone knows of a 2" hitch that will uh, fit the Fit, let me know!

They're not just covers. The seats are totally reapolstered. The shop actually strips the old apolstry ( if you can even call the stock stuff that) ann installs the leather properly w/ clanps & such.
It's not terribly cheap, a little over $1k including the door panels.
Seat heaters were $300 for both.
The leather fits properly around the airbag casing.
