New Member in Memphis, Tn !UPDATED PAGE 3!
Hey everyone! My name is Steve from Memphis, Tn. I work as a technician at one of the local Honda dealers here. I'm usually not one to post on message boards (im usually a lurker) but the vibe here is so cool i cant stay quiet forever. I have a 08 SSM sport that i bought a few months back. My Si coupe didnt hold a carseat too well and my wife and i just had our first baby. Anywho, heres a few pics..... no fancy background shots or anything, just our apartment parking lot Im building this to get back into SCCA solo 2 and having a blast having a functional daily that can be tracked as well. better pictures to come, thanks for looking!

And you know a lot about me Steve. You SURE you live in Memphis?
Thanks a lot Steve. All my pics are actually in auto on my D40. Minor editing in this cheap program I have. Recently, Ive been editing my pics more than others. Some dont agree, but I think sharpening is what brings pics to life. Just a little is needed.
Ive done a few manual shots. They look similar to my auto shots. Id rather just be taking lots of pics than taking lots of time.
I use the "P" setting. If needed, add or remove exposer time.
The D40 is also my first SLR.

^^^^^^ LOL, thanks for the tips! ill play with P tommorow and see what happens. im still using the Picture Project editor that came with it. It doesnt seem to do much though. I need to invest in a decent program after i can take a decent pic..<~~~steve

Yea. That program does nothing. The pictures actually look better when brought up in another program OTHER than that one.
If you bring them up straight off the camera theyll look good.
The pic editor I think makes them look worse then they really are.
Im using Micrografx. Its old.

Your pics look really nice man, real clear and vibrant. D40 is an awesome cam, many people here have them. Alll the pics look good coming from a D40, edited or not, Auto mode or Manual. I have to agree with you, ray does take the best looking D40 pics on the forum IMO haha.

edit: Oem sport lip and dropped on Skunk2's. the ride is beautiful but is low enough to rub on +40 offset wheels and 205/50/15 azenis'
one more edit LOL: If you want i can check out how much a TW sport lip is for you through the parts department. It'd be cost + 10%.... im sure its still rediculous though
