Towelie: Yes the Tein Basics are adjustable
Tool and Fit_Love: I feel you guys on going lower...but I asked the guy to leave me a 1 finger gap to begin with. Once I get used to taking speed bumps and dips at my current height I may continue dropping it the rest of the way down
Thanks to everyone for the kind words, I draw a lot of my inspiration from the work most of you have already done to your Fits

Looking good. I too own a VBP and was debating on going with this set up or some Eibach lowering springs. Of course after seeing this, I'm set on the Basic Dampers.
Now 3 fingers is about an 1.5-2" drop, have you had a lot scraping issues with that lowered ride height? Also, how has the ride quality been changed?

yea tein has EDFC so u can adjust the damping remotely. I thought basics dont give u damping adjustibility and just adj ride height...TEIN USA | PRODUCTS | TYPE BASIC DAMPER

yea, the basics have no adjustability on the top half, i.e. no stiffness/softness adjustability so the edfc wouldnt work with these. the basic damper kit is pretty much the bottom half of the strut. the top mounts are retained. thats also why they ride better than full coilovers.
