NUTS!!!!! Hawaii in the house(safety sticker). I remember when my fit looked like that. I have the same color. Dont you have to get a recon for aftermarket stuff. well congrats. ask me for things you need, they'll be used. KAMAINA DISCOUNT.

thanks everyone. the cruise control is definitely nice. and the civic is the only car in teh garage right now with the recon stickah...that'll probably change eventually tho.

whats a recon sticker? you have to get the ok from the state to mod your ride?

yeah...every year your car has to get a safety inspection. if you have any mods done to the car that could possibly affect the safety standards of the vehicle, like performance mods, lowered suspension, aftermarket rims/tires, etc, then you will be referred downtown to have a reconstruction inspection done on the car. what they do there is have you pop your hood...the inspector looks over your car and then has you list all mods done to your car...they measure the height of your vehicle...from the bottm of the bumper to the ground on the front and back...check your alignment paperwork to make sure it is legit and up to date...and they put everything on a permit. it is good for the life of the car unless you change something on the vehicle...then, in that case, you just get another recon inspectionnext safety inspection season. after it's all done, you get your recon sticker, then go back to the safety check station and get your safety inspection stickers. they made me switch out the PIAA bulbs i had in my headlights on the civic due to the purplish tint on the glass..."only local P.D. are allowed blue lights" the referree said...even tho my bulbs put out white light...and i also had to remove my foglights from the front bumper because they were "too low on the car"...but after i passed recon, i just threw all that stuff back on the civic. it's a long stupid process, and a waste of money in my opinion, but it'll save me from any extra citations i guess. ah well.
here's what the recon sticker looks like:
it's the sticker on the far left, closest to the muffler tip...the other two are for safety inspection.

well, I've had my 08 Fit for almost 3 years now, and it is still stock for the most part. I love this car! I drove it from Texas to Wyoming when I transferred from Hawaii, and it drove like a champ. And it's doing great in the snow this winter. Still have under 9K miles on the OD, it's nice to have a second car as a daily. Shopping around for a coilover set for now, and maybe some other suspension mods. Anyone have any recommendations on coilovers? only new 'mods' I've really done so far are minor, like a Mugen shift knob and LED bulbs for my license plate lights. I'll put in my HIDs once I find a good kit for my foglights.
Time to start modding.
here's a few pics, a little old.

4x4 comments welcome, lol. I already get ragged on by my troops for driving a Fit, lol. All the more reason to hook it up and make it look mean. Thanks for checking out my Fit, Aloha!
