just got my '08 BBP fit!

Hi. I'm new. I finally got her on wednesday and I'm pretty sure I'm in love with everything about the car. It's fun to drive and I love the color I got. I was at the dealership for about..5 hours, but it ended up being so worth it. I might get windows tinted and some new wheels!!

I have a question though, what kind of gas should I put in? Unleaded octane 91 and the owner's manual says unleaded 87 or up. So just want some feed back if there's a performance difference or not because I've only ever used 87 in cars.

Thanks!!

Here's some pictures taken with my phone. I need to get some in the sun..

Andrea

Congratz on the new Fit! It looks great!
As far as gas. Just use regular, dont use premium. You are wasting your money with premium, that Fit is more then happy with regular!
BBP with tint will look sweet. And maybe some white wheels!! That would be awesome!

I love that color, I really almost regret not getting bbp. I wouldn't recommend using anything more than 91, if the Fit responds to anything higher like my accord did it'll lower engine performance and you'll run really rich

You boys are silly. thanks for all the welcomes. I'm freaking out about door dings and...someone being jealous of my car and trying to hurt her. I'm pretty sure I'll either cry or chop someone's hands off if they mess it up! I got mine at westminster honda world..it was a horrendus experience because they claimed it was in their overstock lot, but they failed to mention that was in TORRANCE! so i was pretty much pissed having to wait for someone to drive my car all the way down from torrance and on top of that they got "lost" But it was all worth it and now it's all mine.

here is what you should know cuz we all go thru this. a) your gunna get a ding if your gunna get a ding and there is NOTHING you can do about it. of course parking in the boonies helps a bit but you know that some douchebag is gunna let his cart roll into your car or someone else will bump your car and b) as much as i h8 to say it NO ONE is EVER jelous of a fit hahah EXCEPT other fit owners and in that case you should rest assure that this is probably the coolest car community ever (fit owners) and they will respect your shit. NOW if you had just bought a new evo or g37 THEN you should be affraid hahah so just enjoy it for what it is and have fun is it a manual or auto?

Hi! I put the higher octane gas in my car! It gives you more power and good for your engine. Take the 91...

Congrats on the new fit. The black looks really awesome when it has the JDM visors and/or the 5 rear windows tinted. I'd definitely go with 87 and nothing higher than 89 but it's all up to you anyways. Keep us updated after break in and when you start modding. lol

it's an automatic..i attempted to learn how to drive a manual a year or so ago and i failed at it horribly... and even if they weren't jealous of fits people can be assholes and extremely careless and i hate that, but yeah i know it is going to happen eventually...

welcome the fitfreak. i also bought my fit at westminster honda. who was your sales person? cool color too. i haven't seen BBP in person yet. you'll have to make it to one of the local OC meets. what part of OC are you in?

also - i would only use 87 octane. no higher than 89. premium 91+ octane are designed for cars with higher performance engines.

thanks for helping my ignorance
Stay with the 87.... 91 will do nothing. Btw welcome to FF and if you have any questions feel free to ask and we will do our best to help you out. And if any of the guys start stalking you pm me or one of the other mods to take care of it... lol jk.

i will have to make my way to a meet whenever one is happening. I was originally going to get the blazing orange metallic, because the stock color for BBP on honda.com looks BLUE, but i saw some real pictures and then saw one in person and i was like ohhh yes i'm getting BBP.
