Talking new headlights

So on sunday monering i finally decided to paint my headlights before the little meet down here but unforunatly i wasnt able to finsh in time before the rain came . but here are my lights everyone was painting theirs black so i wanted to do something alittle differnt i went for the oldschool civic type R look they are more of a dark gunmetal color then black.

so THIS is what was more important then our meet? kidding. it looks really nice. especially since you put the before and after picture. super clean. i love your fit.

GRRR!!!! yea lol im sorry i really wanted to make it but it took awhile to do the whole time i was scared acout condensation issue but it passed the test since it has been raining the whole dam weekend .yea i put the before and after so you can tell because sometimes i think you really cant tell but maybe thats just me lol. but thanks alot!!

They look like mine, flat black. Either way Im glad you jumped aboard and punched your car in both eyes. Teach her a lesson!

huh they do a bit is you but simaler ones next to each other forinstance....





its a bit darker i didnt want to be so dark like black because real CTR lights arent black. there just a darker shade of gunmetal

hahaha yea that right!!!! take that lol. i guess in picks they look black you have to see them inperson to tell.

the person who helped me do this was MX6 but it was farly simple

i put the light one at a time in the oven set at 350 degress i preheated it for a minute. theni put the lights in the oven for 2-3 minutes or untill i could get the glue to soft so i can pry it part (before you do that make sure the 3 lil screws arounds the light are off). then i took off the plastic cover primered it painted it and put ut back together. the putting it back together is the hardest part lol so good luck i was on a mission on that last and final step.

good job!....blacked out headlights def accentuate the overall appearance of the front end. BTW where'd ya get your dc5 ion yellow fog light housings?

Those look really HOT!!!! I have been wanting to paint mine since i bought the car but im to scared to do it myself. I wish i had some local fitfreaks that could help me out. haha

i used some rustolium paint i found in wall mart it is a metallic gun metal paint .ill have to check the color on the can when i get a chance i left it at my friends crib.

at first i was doing it like a cave man. with a blow drying poping if off section by section but then it hit me to bake them in the oven. and it made it so much easier they just came apart.
