Happy New Year

Hi everybody!

My name's Al, and I just got my Fit last September. I've been trying to gather up enough cash and time to do some minor work - like a JDM plate harness, tints, etc. But around Jan. 9th, disaster struck!

Happened right in front of my house, too. They just took the stock 15inch rims that came with it. Insurance is on top of it and it should be all good by this week, so not much worry. I have some other shots but it's all the same, those two cover it pretty well I think.

Something I wanted to ask everybody, too - what's everyone's opinions on rims? I'm thinking of getting just some 16 enkei's and calling it a day, but it'd be interesting to see what everyone else favors/thinks.

Damn man, that's a shame. Might want to look at getting an alarm with a tilt sensor.

Well, to start off, which Enkeis were you looking at?

i recall seeing somewhere that enkei makes the 16" hfp wheels, but i'd understand if you'd wanna stay away from anymore honda wheels again...

Enkei makes the HFP wheels and our stock wheels.

The ones I found are called, "16x7 RS-6" probably some black ones.

One thing I'm having a hard time deciding is the rim size. I haven't totally gone through the shoe section of ours, but that's my next stop.

I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little bit of power due to weight for something that looks a little bit nicer. Cornering satisfies me pretty well, so I figure 16's will be fine and look a little bit better than the 15's that came with it. Originally I wanted some nice 17's, but those seem a bit big and I'd have to be more careful than some of the roads out here will let me. Boston sucks so bad for keeping anything on the road mint.

Here's a shot of the RS-6:

The 17's I was looking at were Enkei, too. They're 17x7 EVO5:

PS: I just got the insurance cashmoney in today, so anything and everything people shoot me for advice I will really appreciate. I miss my Honda.

I just realized I probably should've posted this in the wheels section..

Jestem polak ktory kocha kielbase! And the screen name sounds awesome, heh.

I live a little close to the ghetto, in Dorchester if you're from Mass. The worst thing is my pals were telling me they saw a Fit or two left on the jack with rims gone, but never all four at once. And that was in ghetto central. I ordered some wheel locks so those are on their way now. The same pals told me they were going to try and take some action, but the problem is that ever other ricer down here has those rims.

Thanks for the support, fellas. I guess this is the price of having a hot and sweet little hondamobile.

man, that sucks. sorry to see this. them leaving that block
in the center of the chassis bugs me more though... hope
you get new wheels soon.

so are people stealing wheels for their Fit's or are there other
applications like on civics or something? honda should just
give the base Fit a better set of wheel covers like they do on
the CivicLX's.

I can only guess, but I'd say people are swiping them to hook up their civics and whatever else. The majority of cars around here are Hondas and Civics at that. I haven't seen one Fit around here although my buddies told me they've seen a few.

I hate those RS-6 wheels... they're not attractive whatsoever to me, and every ricer seems go have them.

The Evo 5's are alright, but I think there are better choices out there. How much are you looking to spend, and what color wheels do you prefer?

haha...nice!

Anyways, sorry to hear about you losing the rims. When you get new rims...get some locks at the same time.

I have a set of 17 inch Evo5s on my Civic...I plan on using them on my Fit in the Spring.
