I think Fits look great without tint.
I think the car looks great currently. Just add little things here and there.
JDM Tails, badges, and black housings step the look up greatly

Do the red and tinted tails. My tails are the fakies from JHPUSA.
As for the headlights, do it yourself. Theres a DIY done by some people. I did it myself a while ago. Still looks great and no leaks.

I love it. Makes the front end look wider.

If you want to spend $400 on OEM JDM Tails, some here insist that that is the only way to go. Or you can get JDM Knock-offs elsewhere for about $100 shipped. JDM Altezza Tail Lights. You will have to extend a couple of wires to meet the sockets with the locations of the new lights.

Silver Stealth Turn Signal Bulbs look sharp in the clear housing.

Sounds like you're saying you only have to extend the wires on the knock-offs... is that true?

Good Question. Not the case. If you go with JDM Style, whether OEM or Knock-offs, you will have to extend the wires to make them work. It has been suggested here that you can undo some holding clips on the body to give them a little slack, but a good amount of slack definitely makes them easier to work with. Some will solder new wires on to extend. I chose to use butt connectors : female slip/slip crimp connectors and some wire, to extend.

Also, as mentioned, you will have extra bulbs/sockets left over from the stock set-up (USDM) that you will not use. The USDM lights have an upper and lower brake light area, whereas the JDM just has one in the middle. You only use one (the larger one) plug out of the two for the JDM's. You can take the bulbs, and /or sockets out of those extra ones, tape them up and stow them inside the interior panel.

Another suggestion I'll add is to fit the sockets into the new light assembly before you install the light assembly into the body. Less skin off your hands from trying to negotiate the sockets into the new light once they are inside the body, because the fit is not quite as good as the OEM original. Replacing the tails with JDM's is not a bad project... just give yourself a couple of hours, take your time and patience and it all comes together. If you do not have much mechanical experience, I'd recommend getting some help from someone who does, and just be sure to not try to rush the job.

I took off the rear bumper cover, one side at a time, which gives you access to the lower bracket that the JDM tail screws into at the bottom. Loosening/Removing the bracket itself makes it much easier to install the new tails, though is not required. Removing the bumper cover was old school mechanics technique here... if it's in the way, remove/take it out of the way. (If you want more room to work, that is.)

If you're in SoCal, I'd be happy to help you out.

I like it and sometimes I dont. I hated the 12 or so hours I drove my Fit around with no tint. People were like; staring at me and stuff. I was trying to hide behind the pillar.

Tint makes any car look good honestly. But really really clean modded cars dont have tint. No tint just looks crisp.
