Seems like the throw would be hellaa short.
I want to get a shift knob setup and this sounds perfect!

No it's a 5-spd, stock shifter. It's a good excuse to buy the mugen ss...

i'd think that the mugen SS with the H-fit adapter would make the bottom of the shift lever hit the frame. I'm not sure though. I remember reading a mugen SS DIY and you had to pound in the frame so that the bottom of the lever wouldnt hit the frame in 1st, 2nd and 5th gear.

Yes it will hit the frame but all you have to do is buy some longer bolts and add some washers to the bottom of the mugen shift assembly. That will raise up the assembly so that it will not hit the frame. Also I have both the mugen and the Hfit and it is really short just the way I like it, about a 1 inch throw to all gears.

The mugen is cool and all. But I just installed the T1R and it was worth the time it took to install it to save the $150 + dollars

No way. I've felt a T1R after dailying my mugen shifter and it didn't feel nearly as crisp.

Thats funny actually because i went to visit Jcrimson today and he has the Mugen with teh H-Fit mounts and I have the T1R with the H-Fit mounts and mine is WAY tighter than his. When i drove his it almost felt stock again maybe its just me. But he even said mine is tighter than his

Mine wasn't actually an 8-ball. It was a shift knob from the get go. It was pretty heavy tho. Unfortunatly i just upgraded to a T1R quickshifter and it doesn't seem to fit for some reason. So i'm back to looking for something else now.
