The Official Blackberry Pearl Thread
#441
I was reading through this thread...
And it looks like the Blackberry Pearl was first introduced in 2007 on a 2008 model. Is this color available for Base Fits, or is it just the Sport model? Did we ever determine if it is the same color as the Black Amethyst Pearl available overseas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The colors are exactly the same for both Base and Sport models - BBP is available for both. It is definitely notthe same color as Black Amethyst Pearl. BBP is a darker purple, closer to the blue end of the spectrum, the BAP has more red and is a brighter shade of purple. On a cloudy day, BBP can look like a dull navy blue. At night, it looks black. On a bright day, you will see the purple color.

2008 BlackBerry Pearl
I haven't had My 2008 Honda "UN" FIT!! for 16 days!! the dealership i took it in keeps telling me it's in the shop.. I've called here and there to see what's going on with my car and no one ever calls back.. It's been at this dealership four times this year for this issue... The problem is, the SRS light keeps coming on. Which means if i'm in an accident my air bags will not deploy!! Everything that could be fixed has been fixed... The dealership doesn't know what to do next... I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! If you decide to buy this care make sure it isn't part of a massive recall Honda never bothered to inform me about that happened a month after I bought this car!! 646,000 Honda Fits were recalled for this problem, and there has been 12 accidents reported for this issue, and one death!!

fine for now, smooth on smooth roads, but takes bumps like shitttt, especially for people sitting in the back and the 40profile does not help, the roads here suck, hopefully some day koni yellow or bilstein hd would come out

ha ha! I hear you... another member just bought and installed the PSS kit from Bilstein and said it was really smooth. I'm trying to save up for that, but it is hard seeing how great the fit looks lowered.

I got my Blackberry Pearl back in August, and love it. There is only one other BBP I've seen here in Arkansas, and it's a Papa John's delivery boy. So far, it hasn't gotten much.
It's a '10 Sport, with the 5AT.
I had this Granada Black Pearl '93:

SOHC D16Z6 VTEC with an automatic. I had to rebuild the engine after the ONLY road to my house decided to flood one night, and fell in love with the SOHC Honda engines. When it started to become a money pit, having gotten me through my Junior year of High School, my parents wanted something else. So, I wanted a GD3 in Nighthawk Black. I found one, that was a 5AT, but on my way to the dealer to look, I saw it drive past, with the dealer's license plate frame and a temporary tag. Major let down! I drove to a Honda dealer and decided to look for another Fit. I only saw a 2009 Dark Blue (Forget the color name), a Milano Red 2010 w/Navi, and a Tidewater Blue Base from 2007, Test drove the 2007 and felt it was too...bleh. It was only a 4-speed A/T, and rode absolutely rough. So, upon looking at the dealer, disheartened, I kept my options open and saw a nice looking K20 Civic with a 6-speed M/T, which meant I would have to have practiced a standard (Even though I am now anyway) that was 30,000. Same story with a Subaru WRX that was blacked out that I saw at another dealership across the street. Those both got shut down. The Civic because of the price tag, and the Subaru because of the insurance (Teenager + 40-60k $ F/I'ed sports car = VROOMCRASHSCREECHSIRENHOSPITAL, TOTALWRECK.)
Then, when I went to the back of the dealership, I saw the one. It was a 2010 in the very back, unnoticeable part of the lot. It didn't have the Navigation, and had the 5AT. It was 18,000, and so I test drove it. It was wonderful. I fell in love with it, and told my dad (when the salesman was out of earshot, of course) I just HAD to have it. Mom and dad got them talked down to 17,000 with free mats. I was a happy camper, and got really lucky. I don't understand why it was tucked so far at the back of the lot, maybe it was one somebody had ordered and failed to come pick up.
So far, it's pretty much untouched. Aside from taking out the intake resonator top, an AFE Pro Dry S filter, Razo Shift knob with a boot to cover up the gate, and the DIY raising the spoiler trick, it's pretty untouched. Only have 4500 miles on it as of today.

So far, I love the damn thing.
Future plans are a Weapon R Secret Weapon intake, full cat-back at a local muffler shop with a resonator delete and glasspack or possible straight pipe, and Stance GR+ Suspension. Maybe once the warranty starts to get closer to an end and I'm almost out of college, I'll get ballsy and add a KWSC if they have one for the GE8 by then.
