Here is my baby...2 days in my possession...
Not bad, eh? Here's another angle, not that you haven't seen all of them before....But she photographs well...
I had to give her a bath this morning because she was covered in dirt from being sent over 800 miles on a truck. I *really* wanted this car and this was the only way I could get it (or any Fit Sport AT at all, really). I'm totally in love with the color and the car itself. I felt like I was bathing one of my kids when they were babies! Is that bad? Oh well. I've never had my own new car before, and I'm 51, so I'm excited to death. Hubby promised me a Ferrari when we had our first son (he saw my labor and delivery) but I've never held him to that...no point...but this car, I wanted. Here's one more:

I don't know if Houston has a different limit than DFW, so unless they have a specific rule, I think the state-wide rule is 25% total light transmission. I think I went with 35% on mine because I didn't really care if it was super dark, but I did want something to keep it cooler in the car. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'll get a photo uploaded and post it here in a few...

Yeah, that looks good...but it's reflecting too much to actually see how dark the tint is! Did you get a more reflective film? I think 35% is just about right. I'm going to get it done tomorrow at a shop that uses Madico film. Some of the other freakers say it's the best. The Honda dealer that I almost bought a car from sends some of the their overflow to this shop, so I figure they must be OK at application...they have 2 shops, too.
Your car looks great! What number of the Fitless Crew were you? I was #17...

I think most of my photos have some glare in them, but here's a shot through the rear window, which I had done the same as the rest:
You can see the LATCH belt for the gray child seat I have through the window, so it's fairly dark but not nuts. And I have to correct myself, the sticker on the window says VSEC-20, not 35 like I had thought. It is supposed to be some sort of ceramic film stuff, but I don't know how that makes it different than "regular" tint - except for like an extra $50 or so... Oh, and the tiny front corner windows are technically part of the windshield, so they're not SUPPOSED to be tinted. I had mine done anyway because I thought it would look strange from the outside and distracting from the inside. Hope I don't get busted...
As for the "Fitless" bit, that was my username when I was lurking here getting info on Fits before my purchase. I wasn't aware there was an official Fitless Crew! Got my BBP on October 20, and had one of the moderators change my name shortly after.

Oh, I see! You were "Fitless," not fitless!
Your tint is 20%, eh? It looks good, but I'm not sure I can go that dark...nervous that I won't be able to see as well at night...going to go check it out this morning. The dog got into a small piece of dark chocolate so I'm watching her to see if she reacts, or I'd be over there right now. Darn dogs!

I was initially concerned, but I haven't noticed that it's a probelm at all so far. I think I got my windows tinted a week or two after I got the car, and driving at night hasn't been a problem for me or my wife. The mirrors are large enough and tail/reverse lights are bright enough to easily see while backing down our driveway. The garage is detached in the back yard, so our driveway is close to 100 feet long but only about 10 feet wide. Privacy fence on one side, house on the other, and an electric gate to get past about half way down. Piece of cake. I really don't even notice that the windows are tinted any more from the inside. If you get a chance, check out a similar tint job. Mine was done at Artech, but I don't see them in Houston on googling...

Tinted an hour ago... :)
I got my tinting done this morning. It looks absolutely stunning. I went with a 35% on the 2 front sides, and 20% from there back. Spent almost $200 but I think it's a stellar job. I can't roll the windows down until Monday but the car won't be driven much over the weekend because I'm going on a retreat, so, it was perfect timing. NOW it looks like a proper FitFreak Fit!
