Clapped out JDM fit build
My other vehicle is a diesel truck, and with diesel currently sitting at $6.30 a gallon and climbing, I needed a beater.
And, a beater I found. Bought this 07 with 200k for $3k. Its got heavy rust, no maintenance record, and has JDM stickers on it. The guy I bought it from, the one who put the JDM stuff on it, thankfully only had it for 6 months.
I'm assuming whoever had it before that took care of it well enough for it to make it this far.
Immediate projects; I have to replace the upstream 02 sensor. I thought it would be easy but I didn't realize how painful it is to get to. Also, the wiper motor is seized up.
Once I get that done, and get it registered, I'm gonna go all out with the JDM joke products. Vortex generators, katana shifter, garden trim body kit, you name it.
Notice the tow hook and japanese text.
Rice asf
Minor body work to remedy
He even put hoodspacers on it...

Added some vortex generators for icing on the cake.
Garden edging front lip installed, it's not crooked, just an illusion caused by the front bumper design.
Katana shifter installed
Before lemon and baking soda
After lemon and baking soda
Started some actual rust repair today, I ran out of stainless steel mesh so I cut up a truly can.
Next, Bondo!
Garden edging ground effects
also, I did replace the O2 sensor but the code remains... Real bummer. It's the heater circuit code, as well as a different voltage code. I'll post it below. The O2 sensor was a PAIN to get at! I ended up removing the airbox and going from the top, but I couldn't remove the old one from the rusted out bracket, so I left it hanging in the engine bay 🤣
