how long does that paint last? will heat and shit under the hood cause it to flake?

I am curious about doing something like this.

some of the designs is almost 1 year old already and the colour is still nice and shinny.....just make sure u always wipe the dust and dirts on the cover when u wash the car so that u can maintain the colour.about heat resistance,the paint doesn't peel off for the moment so i guess it would not be any problem.

WOW! That VTEC engine cover with flames was awesome!

A question: Do you use special paint for those covers? Thinking of all the heat... or maybe it is not so hot on those covers?

1st of all i sprayed the whole cover with special plastic primer so that the paint will not peel off b'coz of heat....and for the moments the paint condition is still in superb condition.
