Underhood Temperature?

Underhood Temperature?
Simple question. Or is it?
How hot does it get under the hood of the car? Anyone have any actual Farenheit readings?

My SSI intake draws underhood air and my Scangauge reads out intake temps.
The highest temps I've seen are when driving off after being parked for a short period of time on a hot day when the car has been parked after being driven.
Underhood temps in those circumstances are about 130-140F. They drop rapidly once I begin driving and there is some airflow.

Short memory, I had a big write up and here is the results. All measurements made with Fahrenheit scale indoor/outdoor dual reading thermometer. Readings taken in different spots with probe remaining in place for 2 days.
All readings taken after engine reached operating temperatures BUT remember my Jazz has a low temperature fan switch and thermostat and my operating temperature is 180 not the normal 200+ in a normal Fit/Jazz so readings on a standard Fit I would estimate would be about 5-10 degrees higher than my readings.
Right behind the radiator in the center of the engine bay 165-170.
Right on top of the plastic engine cover in the center 155-160.
On the side where the intake comes in from the fender 140-145.
Inside the fender near the intake entrance 115-120 depending on outside temps.
Between the battery and intake 145-150.
Low down between the transmission and radiator where some intakes entrances are. 130-135.
