PKE/Remote Start/Push-button Ignition
Hello all! I'm new to the forums and wanted to reach out and get some advice. I've been doing electrical wiring and aftermarket lighting for years but wanted to be extra safe before tackling this particular project.
I'd like to install a keyless entry/remote start/push-button ignition system in my 2015 Fit. There is currently a remote system now which replaced the factory one - guy I bought the car from had ignition trouble and had all the locks, keys, and fobs switched out. However there is only one fob which is tough for my wife and I to share, plus I've always wanted to be able to prewarm the engine in the winter. How difficult is it to install an aftermarket PKE/alarm/remote start system? Does anyone have any advice, wiring diagrams, precautions? I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!
This site I found seems to have detailed info, if anyone could confirm accuracy that would be great. http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew...gdiagrams.aspx
EDIT: The Fit I have is the base model, and is not already equipped with push-to-start. I don't know if there are immobilizers or bypasses in place from previous work.
