Paddle shift on non-Sport

I see when looking at the Fit parts catalog that the paddle shift assemblies for the steering wheel are only $40 per side. Is there any chance that these are plug and play on base Fit steering wheels? Do you think the car is already set up for the paddle shifters, much like the accessory fog lights are? I don't have a Fit to even look at, so I don't know if I'm oversimplifying this idea or not. Any ideas?

It doesn't have the sport mode tranny so you may have an issue there.

Unfortunately, there's a LOT that's different. Likely starting with main or dash wiring harness, ECU, SRS cable reel.

Nothing that a few grand wouldn't fix...
