Exclamation HELP questions about speaker upgrade! THANKS

Well i installed some 6.5" MTX components in my girlfriends fit but they sound like chit!
I dont know whats what when it comes to whats positive and whats negative the wires are all different colors. Is there in internal amp on the Honda Fit Sports, i know on other cars i have messed with, colored wires usually meant internal amp somewere.
Also the window is nailing the magnet of the speaker when you role down the window. What size spacers are you guys running with out hitting the window or the door panel?
THANKS any help will be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to use the factory spacer for your mid's to avoid the window slapping the magnet structure. I built my own spacers with MDF which you can find in my build log on here. As far as the wiring goes, there's a topic somewhere on here with all the color codes listed. As for the internal amp on the factory head unit, I am not sure on rated power but it's probably in the range of 15w-25w per channel. It can drive other speakers but realistically if you are looking for a major upgrade in sound it won't be had by just changing speakers out. You would be better off adding an aftermarket amplifier for better sound, an aftermarket head unit would also help as well.
