Installing a double-DIN head unit in a 2007 Honda Fit
I've found the forums here very useful for installing a head unit on my "new" 2007 Fit. However, I found that I had to comb the internet to find three or four guides to do it, so I thought I would put them all in one place with my step-by-step pics.
My pics are here:

The most useful resource are the instructions that come with the Metra kit. I used the Scosche kit, which was great but their instructions are terrible. Here are two links to the Metra instructions, which worked fine for the Scosche:

The instructions for the MusicLink are also useful:

Also see the pics linked in this thread on FitFreak:

These pics were also on a FitFreak forum somewhere:

I ordered my head unit from Sonic Electronix. They shipped it with the Scosche kit and the Scosche wiring harness but they didn't say anything about needing a Scosche Honda Antenna adapter, so I had a 2 hour surprise midway through the install ( a $20 and 20 mile trip to Best Buy). Here's what I got from Sonic Electronics (they gave a discount on the Scosche kits):
1. Kenwood DPX503 (DPX-503): 1 @ $239.99
2. Scosche HA1558B: 1 @ $37.00
3. Scosche HA10B / HA10: 1 @ $0.00
4. Scosche HAAB adapter 1 @ $19.95 each
See the pics on FlickR (link at top of thread) for a step-by-step description
Here's the completed install. I'm going to add a GlareStomper GPS visor to shade the unit in the sun. I don't think the Kenwood is at fault but rather the angle of the Fit dash makes it hard to read.
Three weeks later, it still works. The Kenwood's interface is a bit complicated and its features are not as programmable as I thought. But it sounds and looks good.
I hope this collection of links can help others!
Good luck!
Ken

That's the Scosche quality. I had to superglue mine on, they fell off about .9 seconds after installation.

Disappointed in the Kenwood
Yes, I agree about the looks, but it's not my primary concern. I wanted a unit with a USB and aux connection and the Kenwood had many options with a large screen for displaying MP3 tags and other info.
However, the interface (buttons and dials) are a pain in the a$$. My wife, sons, and myself hate using it. Also, the GUI does not take advantage of the large screen. Either you get the song name and artist in large letters which scroll over with a 14 letter screen size, or you can choose a tiny GUI with just a tiiny part of the screen devoted to the song data.
