Shift Knob - Razo or Skunk2?

I'm looking at weighted shift knobs and found some good deals on Razo RA66 (400g, carbon and dark chrome) and RA120 (375g, gun metal) on Amazon. Skunk2 seems to be the most commonly-used shift knob around here, but I was looking for something a little different.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with the Razo knobs on a GE and could give me an idea of their fit and finish. Also, if someone could compare the weight/feel of the Razo's to the Skunk2 knobs that would be great! Looking to pair a good aftermarket weighted knob with the H-Fit short shift adapter kit; recommendations either way (or for another reasonably-priced knob) would be greatly appreciated!

I use the RA66 myself and I found it to be rather comfortable. Even my gf likes the feel of it but what it really boils down to is how you feel about the look and how comfortable you are shifting gears with it.

I take it the installation and fit are no problem then? Unfortunately I don't really have a place I can try out different knobs around here, so I pretty much have to go by price, weight, and any info I can glean from manufacturers' and sellers' websites and forums. Thanks T-Rex! =D

No problem ^_^ The fit is on there is pretty solid. I'll see if I can take pictures of mine and post it up here if it helps.

I have the Skunk2 knob. I love the feel. But than i was in the market for a round knob, so I ended up dishing out 100bucks for the oem Mugen knob. The Mugen knob which feels good in the palm, but could use more weight. What I found recently was these Blox spherical shifts knobs. They look super nice, maybe you should give it a try, they are around the same price range too. They come in a 142g and 490g weight. Blox Limited Series 490 Spherical Shift Knobs, Other similar knobs like the J's or ARC are around $150-$200.

I dunno, I'm kind of a fan of the elongated look of the Razos...by the way, does anyone have an approximate width measurement for either the RA66 or RA120? I'm kinda leaning towards the 120 since it's fairly plain and a few bucks cheaper (~36 on Amazon vs. 46-49 for RA66/Skunk2).

Oh ok, gotcha. Yeah I like the ball shaped ones since it makes the shifter shorter as a whole(along with my T1R ss). But for elongated shape ones, the skunk2 is nice. I like the weight of the skunk2 but it makes the shifter a little taller. Or the mugen dildo shift knob might be the one for you. Mugen Shift Knobs

i have a weighted and counter sunk shift knob for sale, $25 shipped if you're interested. i'd say it weighs between 2-3 pounds.
its machined from steel and looks just like the skunk2 knob except there's a spot for a rounded sticker on top. i can take a pic after work today so you know what i'm talking about.

I have the RA120. It made a big difference in shifting...much more enjoyable, more positive. Made more of a difference than the Mugen short shifter IMO. It is a bit cold in winter and I'm wondering what it's going to be like in the heat of summer. I wanted a taller knob fwiw because I use the armrest console and it works just fine even with the Mugen shift. I think I would prefer the same dimension knob in a leather just for the tactile sensation. Also the smooth finish has some minor flaws in the clear coat that leave little rough spots that my fingers always find ( I gave the knob another turn to place them away from my fingers). Installation couldn't be easier.
Thanks to College Hills Honda BTW for their great price on the shifter. Honda prices go up tomorrow.

The funny thing is you were probably typing this at the exact same time I was ordering the RA120 from Amazon. I decided I just really like the look of it, and hopefully the additional height helps me reach the shifter while using the armrest. H-Fit SSAS ordered as well; I can't wait!

Ive got the round black Razo rally knob on my 07, and i loves it. Razo makes good stuff and good prices. This lob is ultra light-weight though

Razo Aluminum Round - More Japan :: Since 2003
RA25 is a nice 340grams. Thinking about ordering this one. I've always like the round shaped knobs, they feel good in the hand (no homo)
