dashboard goo
So, the rattles in the dash above the center vents is about to drive me crazy. Any little bump or ripple in the road sets it off. I do not want to disassemble the dash to find the offending thingy, probably a wire banging around.
So here is my idear. Drill a very small hole in the dash, like toothpick diameter, above the rattle, and squirt a small amount of the spray foam insulation stuff you get from Home Depot into the hole. Wait for it to expand like crazy and harden, and, if lucky, encasing the rattle forever and ever.
My concern with this plan is the air vents. I assume that the vent tubes run from the fan motor to the cabin, and will not fill with the goo. Anyone smarter than me have a clue as to what it looks like under there? Should I have any other concerns?
Thanks.

Have you ever used this stuff? If not you are in for a big surprise and I huge mess.
First you will not get it all in a tiny hole. Some will get on dash and that stuff is almost permanent. It will not come off.
Take the dash apart and fix it properly.
