you shouldn't put seat covers because it'll mess up the side airbags

You could try and uncover where the side airbag would come out or try this Ortho Cushion I got to cover the darn lumbar support.

you could always find a waqy ti import the JDM seat covers straight from Japan, i've already talk to my parts and service rep abuot them, and he's looking into a way to get me a set.

However i fhe can get me a set, then i'm going to have to go to a uphosltry shop adn have tehm mod the side's to be open for the SRS, the whole front and rear seat cover kit's though run rought $500.00-$600.00.

Honda does not recomend seat covers as it will severly diminish the cars ability to protect you. It may even cause you more harm because it the Side air bags go off, there is no where for them to go.

Well, you would just have to get them modified where that small plastic door is located on the side of the seat for the SRS. I am sure any upholstery shop could do that, just like he was saying. Then it would cause no problems. I would assume only an idiot would just cover them up.

Seat Covers: Big lots / Odd lots has 'em cheap, but fugly. I use mine after visiting paint shops and my wooden bead seat-insert after a sweaty session on the vert ramp.

Are you just going to cut out the sides to make room for the airbag?

I'll see whent hey come in. I talked to an upholstery guy that was recommended to me by the honda dealer my bro works for and he said that it is possible, but may not have to be done. The only problem would be, should i get into an accident and the seat air bags deploy, the charge on the airbag explosive should be strong enough to rip through the seat cover, but would ruin the seat cover. I wouldnt really wanna find out. I'll keep you updated when I get them in.

What about the rear centre headrest? From the pics on the Mugen website, it doesn't look like there's one there, so you'll have to remove yours or mod it to fit.

Here's an option. I installed aftermarket leather seat covers from Classic Soft Trim (I used to work for them) in my 98 Accord & they still look new. They have a Fit pattern. On the side airbags, they use a special airbag thread that easily breaks if the airbag deploys. You can see the difference in the thread if you check out the reverse side of the cover before installation. They can two-tone the seats using blue, orange, silver, etc. You should check with your dealer about warranty before installing any seat covers but at least these are made to go on airbag seats. Just go to this link and then click "view drawing" for a pdf schematic of the pattern.
