There's a tutorial there for a temp gauge and for other gauges too.

I got a ScanGaugeII.
The light turns off at 127 degrees F. The maximum temperature that I have seen is 183 degrees, and it normally runs around 177.
The ScanGauge is worth every penny of the $169 (including shipping!)
You can monitor:
- water temp
- intake air temp
- rpm
- mpg
- mph
- miles traveled on tank, day, previous day, and current trip.
- fuel used as above
- engine load
- throttle position
- and some other stuff that I can't think of right now.

I think I saw you mention where you mounted it before in another post and had to laugh, thinking the same thing. Seemed like the only place to put it to me. Not a lot of options in the FIT for placing something like that.

I really like it there, even though as previously mentioned, it can be blocked by the steering wheel at times. However, I just justify it by telling myself that if I have the wheel turned that much, I should be paying attention to where I'm driving!!
Oh, and I have my on US values. My gauges of choice are:
RPM WT
MPG IAT
I am usually driving around in CURRENT with MPG on the display.
This is the coolest toy that I've ever had!!
Now --- if I can find out what kind of info that I can send to the ECU to get additional info back from it, it would be much cooler!!
Anyone know where I can get a list of such things to throw at the ECU??
Thanks!!

I like it there as well. Makes it easy to read and to keep an eye on. I have mine set to.
MPG, MPH
FIA, FWT
With the backlight set to yellow.
I'm going to change the MPG to someting else since it's now calibrated with the speedometer. I haven't calibrated the fuel yet since that takes several fill ups. Have you calibrated yours yet ?
And I don't know any codes to send the ECU. I don't think I would understand its reply anyway.

You'll like it, just remember that it needs to be calibrated to your vehicle for the MPG, DTE, and stuff to be accurate. It's no big deal and it's easy to do. While you're waiting for it to arrive you may want to get the manual in PDF from their web site http://www.scangauge.com and read up on how to both use and calibrate it so you'll be ready to play with it when it arrives.
