Kenwood KSC-SW10 Compact powered sub

I searched the forums and couldn't find out how this Kenwood KSC-SW10 Compact Powered Sub sounds.

I don't know much about subs and wanted something compact that could be hooked to the stock unit and this looks good. I figure that I could hide it under the rear seats to keep it out of the way. I don't need strong base, but just wanted a little extra.

Any thoughts? The Crutchfield reviews are good, but I don't know how this would sound in the Fit.

Yeah, since the Fit is a hatchback, any sub at all adds at least a little bass. But that Kenwood is pretty expensive for an enclosure with 2 5x7. Crutchfield should have the JL stealth box that is (I belive) an 8 inch sub. If I recall, it was around $300 or so. If thats what the actual price is, I'd recommend getting that instead. It'll go in the back on the passenger side, and it'll really perform much better. 5x7 speakers don't have THAT much more bass than the 4 stock 6.5's in the doors.

EDIT: Okay, nevermind. It's not $300, it's $600. That's a big difference. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1369443...hbox+honda+fit

5x7?? wierd...

I would recommend just getting a "regular" subwoofer with quick release wiring. I have a small amp so it just sits over the spare tire. whenever i need more room i can disconnect the sub easily and just leave the amp under there
