Whats up with the battery terminal?

There's a fuse panel "on" the battery, WTF?

Maybe I'm missing something but how am I supposed to add power wiring for amps with the whole assembly for the fuses in the way?

If you don't know what i'm talking about i'll post a pic tomorrow, but if anyone has any answers or ideas it would be a big help as I'm looking to do an install over the weekend.

Use the stud all the way on the left on the bottom. The one directly to the left of the battery terminal.

Yeah i'm using that now just to test speaker locations, but for a full install i'm gonna have to do better than that, I don't really feel comfortable having that as the only point of contact for 0 gauge wire.

Here are a couple of crappy iphone pics if anyone does not know what i'm talking about.

I used that bolt just to the left of the positive terminal, but then again I'm not runnin' 0 gauge...

If you're running 1/0, you've got a LOT of problems to overcome. The stock alt won't put out anywhere near the amount of current that wire can handle, the stock battery is small, etc, etc. The wire to the starter is the largest wire in the car at 4AWG so a lot of stuff needs to be upgraded.

Tell me about it, I could probably get by with 4gauge but I'm overdoing it, that's just how I roll. Planning on a battery upgrade in the next few weeks, something MUCH bigger, gonna have to figure out dimensions and fab up a custom tray/mount. I don't know if you're familiar with ELD, but it pretty much means an alternator upgrade is out of the question for me, so I gotta get creative....I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks for the heads up tho.
