Just wondering, if i want the install an AVIC F90 or 900BT on my 09 sport fit,
could I keep the original USB cable and use that for my ipod?

Half an answer: the F90 comes with a iPod/USB cable, that's one of the three features that makes it cost more than the F900, along with high-voltage pre-outs, and a longer warranty.

I haven't pulled my OEM radio yet, so I don't know how the existing USB cable is attached. Others that have added aftermarket head units have mentioned running their new units' USB cables to the same upper glove box that the OEM unit uses. The area under the dash in the Fit is relatively empty, so running wires won't be that hard.

I can only speak on behalf of the F90BT but it has a long ass cable physically attached to the Headunit that is USB. I ran that along with the ipod connector, thru the glove compartment in my 09' to replace the stock usb.

It looks stock still. just with an added ipod connector.
