In-dash navigation secutity

So for those of you who has an aftermarket in-dash nav, are you guys doing anything as far as security goes?
Doesn't look like these double din dash have a detachable faceplate like the older single din decks, and I live in a city where auto theft and auto break-ins are really high...

I noticed that JVC makes a deck with a detachable plate, but I was really leaning towards a Pioneer deck.

A good alarm system is NOT an option for me, because those really do nothing as far as break-ins go. Pretty easy to shatter the window and take the deck and run. So has anybody rigged up a false plate out of the stock deck or something like that, that will cover the nav?

Pioneer makes great decks, but so does JVC, I just picked up the KW-NX7000. It has a detachable faceplate that fits nicely in the hidden compartment in the rear. Most thieves if they attempt to steal it even after seeing the faceplate off, probably wont look much further than the glovebox and under the seats before scurrying off.
