cargo cover?

I plan to get a system for my fit. I also plan to get the OEM cargo cover.
Will the cargo cover fly off or break because of too much bass from the sub?

It depends on what you plan on putting back there. Mine definitely rattles/vibrates but its well worth it because it covers the sub and amp when parked.

Well I have no idea what your old sub is but im running a 10" sub in a ported box with roughly 750 watts RMS to it. So i think you should be fine

Well since I was curious if you hade made a post about your previous/future set up, I did a search.

amp = diamond audio d6 450.2
components = diamond audio d3 6 inch set
amp = old school mtx 404
cant wait!!!!
So I see its a DD 1012. I am running a 10" AudioQue (DD sister company) SDC2.5, which is roughly equivalent to a DD 2510. So you should be fine, well minus the rattles from everything else in the car

nah I think you would run out of current to draw from the battery before the alternator could recharge it before either of the above would happen. damn small alts

wow u are good..check my old post to see if i posted what my set up was before!!! give u props sir!
so do u have a cargo cover and nothing happens to it beside rattles?
is there a way to stop the rattle?
i never used or seen a cargo cover in person before so i dnt even know how they look like or work

by any chance, did you upgrade the battery or do the big 3?
i plan to upgrade my battery. i want a new alternator also, but that is costly...

Thanks! Yeah my cargo cover just rattles, its hard to explain where. If you want pictures I can take some tomorrow. I would imagine that putting some thing foam in where it mounts would help some. The material itself flexes at different frequencies but has never came off.

I did not upgrade my battery as of yet but I plan to do so in the future. I upgraded the battery negative to chassis ground and the engine to chassis ground. I would of done the alternator to battery but I couldnt magange to reach where the wire connected to the alternator easily. I have read that our ecu's (at least GDs) restrict the amount of current supplied by the alt so even if the upgrade alt is rated at X amount you only get a certain amount.

Also the rear view vibrates like no other. I have numerous rubber grommets to help minimize this but I think that now my mirror is broken internally somehow.

haha thanks for the info!
how big is your ported box?
do you mind taking pictures of your set up?
where did you mount the amps?
i do not want to mount it to the back seat, i kind of want to show it off but at the sametime stil have easy access to my spare tire.
i am going to talk to my installer monday to plan things out with him, than wait a month to save up some money and get it all in!
i cant wait!

my box is about 1.4 cubes and its tuned to 38hz. Ill take pics in the morning.
I mounted my amp to a piece of mdf at the moment because I didnt want to put it on the back of my seat and my setup will change in the future.
I have access to my spare tire I just have to fold down the rear seats, slide my box on top of them and then remove the spare.
Im satisfied with it but it will be redone eventually when I dont need as much cargo room.

it may under hard turning but the weight of the mdf/amp keeps it from moving a lot. It the future it will find a more secure home.

The cover does not affect the seats ability to fold in any way.
