Look sweet man. Was there anyway that you could have fit the whole sub under the floor board? I carry a lot of stuff in the back of my Fit and I'd love to have a hidden sub.

I'm curious, what size is this? I want to know the specs of the sub as I'm planning on doing the same thing (damn wife wants space for useless things like groceries)

thanks. very informative! I will be going a little bit of a different route. When I purchased my car, they didn't have a spare tire. Just an emergency kit so I will have more room to work with as I'm thinking about putting a 12" in there.

It will be the first time I am building a fiberglass box. Any suggestions on the shopping list?

mdf board (3/4" thick)
fiberglass mat/cloth
fiberglass resin at least 1 gallon
Harderner mekp
brush(es)
masking tape
aluminium foil
fabric
BEER!!!!

I was looking at that one as well while googling. all very good write ups.

seeing as this is my first time, i didn't know what to get or what to expect. it doesn't help much either that I'm in Japan and I can't read a damn thing.

as much as i wanted to do so, the wife argued that even though it's in the spare tire area, you can't put anything on top so it's dead space right in the middle.

unless i can put something on top of it, it's a no go for me.

Easy, just get a grill for it - something like this one: Dayton HDSG-12 Heavy Duty 12" Speaker Grill | Parts-Express.com

yeah the grill is to protect the sub, not to have stuff like my groceries (more importantly case of beer) on top of it.

I'm not sure your point . . . a steel grill like that you could stand on and jump and down, and your sub would be safe.

Are you serious? If this is the case, then I will be getting a sub soon.

I've always had problems in the past with subs hitting the grill, I hope this isn't a problem.
