DEHP5000UB + 250GB Hard Drive = ?
Hi folks. I am wondering if any one out there knows if the Pioneer DEHP5000UB head unit can accomodate a Western Digital 250GB portable drive. I'm in the midst of playing around with it, and for some reason I cannot get the head unit to recognize the USB connection. It powers up, but that's about it. I'm confused.
I've read that as long as it is formatted in FAT32, it should be fine. Any one out there have an answer? I'd really like to keep it, since it's so damn big, I'll never run out of space. But if I cannot, I guess it's back to the store.

Well I have the DEH-P6000UB (and its going back, lol) but I only have a 16GB flash drive (which works). My thoughts are that either the usb port on the head unit cant provide as much voltage/current as a computer can or you may need to re-format the drive if you already havent. Im assuming the unit doest require or have an external power source? If I happen to find anything else Ill let you know.
