Help With radio install...please

When installing a double din unit with the metra kit, do you swap over the metal support brackets from the old unit? They attach to the radio and to the climate controls.

on my scosche kit, the only thing transferred over was the hvac controls. nothing for the stereo

yeah i have the metra kit for my double din but i cant remember what i did lol sorry
