After install, big gap between faceplate and dash
#21
Well,, he has yet to take any real pictures for us to see. There are only two aftermarket faceplate makers, Metra and Scosche, no matter what name is on the bag, the design is just retagged for the person selling it.
I can't see which faceplate it is, if it has the alignment issue up top to be a Scosche, if it's the metra kit, someone forgot to screw in the AC controls into the "threaded holes" .
So with the information we have, we can only say and do so much to help.

Yeah, I'm aware of your posted fixes. I meant was was his fix... I wish people would follow-up after asking for help. What good does it do to just disappear. We are supposed to be helping as well as learning from each other.

but that's the thing, nothing new was learned, his lack of searching would have solved his probs, and this thread is now offtopic... and why am I still getting emails about it, I unsubscribed from it....

Ok, for my problem I decided to live with it for now. The control knobs are mounted tightly and it's not loose enough that it rattles so I'll live with the gap unless I get more ambitious some day. Thanks for all your comments.

.
Too bad. There's no way I could live with that gap. It would be driving me crazy. To each his own though...
