Pioneer AVIC-900BT VS Pioneer AVIC-Z3 VS Kenwood DNX8120

Hey All,

I'm about to purchase a 2009 Fit Sport. I'm assuming the non navi version will be compatible with the 2DIN navigations out there.

I can get all 3 of these units with my discount, there pretty close in price. Anyone have direct experience with any of these head units?

That's great news. I would pull the trigger now as I can get the 8120 for less than $1000. if the rumors are true that VSA only comes with the Navi option for the 2009, I'm tempted to get the factory navi even though I don't want it since it doesn't have bluetooth. I really hope you can get vsa as a stand alone.

I plan to use my FIT as my daily in crappy weather and the VSA should help with that. Or should I saw f' it and get the 8120 and live without VSA?

How do current Fits handle rain/snow?

After experiencing Honda's ABS system back in '94 when it came out in the Civic, I wouldn't bank too much on the VSA being that great. It's all in the tire choices. Honda had an illustration in their catalog showing how easy it was to take a turn while braking with the ABS if you encountered an obstacle. Wow, they must have been dreaming of having the Lexus system because the Honda ABS sucked ass! I smacked up the front of my car doing about 15 mph. I've driven over 1.5 million miles in all kinds of weather. I laid into the Honda regional about it wanting the system removed from my car. They wouldn't do anything. I bought a service manual and figured out that all I had to do is pull the ABS fuse. Car worked great after that. Once a year for a week in the summer, I put the fuse back in to purge the system.

So you actually disable your VSA? I'm coming from a 2006 BMW which has great traction control system. I really have no desire for the Honda Nav since it doesn't have BT as an option.

VSA and ABS are two different systems. VSA controls wheel slippage, the ABS pulses the brakes when your in a panic brake mode (or in some cases keeps you from braking just about all together).
Because my Fit is more for show, I haven't used it in the snow. Got caught in the rain a few times after shows, but it all comes down to tire selection.
