Now you need a grille for the sub. Welcome to Fit Freak!

Rockford makes grills that fit it with a factory appearance, and it looks real nice. How does the setup sound? Looks good.

Thanks for suggesting the grill I wonder why the installer didnt recommend one...

It doesn't sound as good as it should, cos I need a better HU now - I just might use the 4ch-amp to run the front components 2way active and use the HU to run the rear spkrs.
(at 1st I changed only speakers & HU - then got hit by upgrade-titis and added sub+amp.)

I'm waiting for the Alpine IDA-X100 (Ipod deck) to be released here before I decide on it, or the 9887.

I just sold my 9887, it was an amazing deck but it was more than i needed. I like the X100, but i still can't get over the no CDs. I'm going back to Double Dins, because those look really good in the fit and i want the navi. I'm looking at either the IVA-W505, Avic-Z3, Or one of the eclipses

Forget the Alpine. Their not at the top of their game these days. Look at the Kenwood 8120 or something similar.

You could run your 4 channel amp into a 3 channel mode. The rear channels bridged into the sub. Radio power on the rears is just fine. Forget active to the front. You might blow your tweeters.

Just noticed you have a second amp for the sub. My bad. Either way could be done by anyone reading this wondering which way to go.

people going active only blow tweeters because they dont know what they're doing... but once you hear a properly tuned active system... you will never want to go back to passive...
