iPod Video input?

iPod Video input?
I assume that these units that have extra A/V inputs could accept an iPod video cable, to playback video files on my ipod. It only makes sense. But there are these other units that are advertised as "blah blah blah with iPod adapter." Does anyone know if any of these ipod adapters also adapt video as well as audio? I don't want to have to run 73 cables to my ipod.
Also, right now I'm thinking about a single din dvd receiver coupled with an overhead video screen. I don't think I need the fancy bells and whistles of audio navigation that the double din units offer, and I want to make it more of an experience to watch a movie in refresh mode.

if you get a current (last two years) dvd receiver, the 'ipod' input should take the video signal through the ipod cable, rather than the aux video inputs. just check the specs of the units you're looking at, they should be pretty clear.
