I'm confused, someone clarify please. If I get the P4000, why do I need a Metrakit? Doesn't this just slide in where the factory one is? And that secret website lol, does it include this kit if I need it? The price is definitely better...dunno about their reputation though!

welll some people have a good sense of direction while others dont...in my case i didnt feel the need to pay $200 to almost $500 and up extra for a navagation system....of course thats my reasong..plus having a navi takes the fun out of getting lost.

That is true. But I recently took a ride in a car with GPS and I thought it was cool as hell. So seeing as how I'm a GPS virgin, maybe the cool factor will wear off haha.

yea I figured if i was gonna get an indash with touchscreen might as well have GPS right? but since i can't afford it i settled for this one
Pioneer FH-P800BT - In-dash AM/FM, CD, MP3, WMA player with Remote and Built-in Bluetooth with microphone and controls • 50W x 4 chan. Max • 22W x 4 chan. RMS • Supertuner III D • EEQ • 3 Sets of 4V preamp outputs • Satellite, iPod, HD Radio ready (o
it is a double din so hopefully it seems like it actually belongs and its got cool features like built in Bluetooth, rear AUX port and USB.
I ordered this yesterday BUT this is a big BUTT, when i called to confirm, it turned out that the Kit was not FREE so i had to pay an extra 40 bucks or so. I'm expecting to receive it by tomorrow. So i'll post some pix as soon as I receive it. Wish me luck!

when u say the kit wasn't free do you mean from crutchfeild or that other website?
Because the P4000DVD with free kit for 500 is a steal.
But i'd rather have the P4000DVD and then add the BT module later myself. I've had the AVIC-D3 with BT and everything. I like the way the screen looks with the touch screen more than the one with the BT built in. But thats just me.

P.S. I am manager of a car stereo store so i sell this stuff all day long. So i know quite a bit about it if u have any questions

well here are the pix I haven't had the chance to get it installed but im hoping i can do it on wednesday:

Size: 41.6 KBThe pix are a little crappy they were taken with my lg vx9800 lol. but back to the subject, this product was advertised in the site for 299 with a banner saying it came with free installation accessories which i thought would include the kit, however when i called to confirm they said it was just the accessories not the Kit so I paid the extra money for it. The whole thing turned out to be around 380 ish shipped.

bigtoepfer:
I bought this Item in the other site as you can see it is a bit different from the one in crutchfield. if you notice this one has the "premier" logo and the one on cruchfield has 'pioneer', is there any difference between these two products?? i compared them and IMO they were the same. Can you point out the differences for me? i would have like to have the pioneer logo instead but crutchfield was out of stock at the time.
Well hopefully this was a good decision and I'm l00king forward to seeing it installed. any thoughts?

by the way shipping was incredibly fast, i ordered on Wednesday and received it on friday maybe because the warehouse is here in cali however costumer service was not as good as I'd want it to be I'd say 7 out of 10.

Well the main difference would be that u have the premier. which is better, better components better sound options, better WARRANTY. Thats the main difference. Its got 2 year warranty instead of 1. If i buy a pioneer product its only premier.
