memory fab seats

so i placed an order last week for 2 bride ergoII's. i ordered them because, well they are bride and i have sat in them before and they were extremly comfortable. the only down side to bride seats is the price. after getting my pay check i realized that i wasnt going to be able to make my car payment so i had to cancel my order. . but then i remebered seeing a thread on honda-tech a while back about memory fab seats. Memoryfab - Universal Auto Accessories Parts : R98 Reclinable Seat#
if i remember correctly their reclineable seat is made by vision... so you know its good stuff and its decent price. i also called memoryfab the other day and was told that they make seat rails for the fits. what do you all think?

I don't see a safety rating on them. Most proper racing seats have an FIA or SPI saftey rating.

Otherwise, nice seats!

they dont have it posted for the r98 and s68, but the s58 carbon fiber bucket seat can be special ordered to be fia certified. but its a 3 month wait and its two bucks shy of a grand per seat. im not going to be racing my car, the only reason i want new seats is a little extra comfort and some eye candy. and for a price like that i know im not getting the top shelf seats but at the same time i know that i am not getting some crummy tenzo r seats that will fade pink. (a buddy of mine in high school had some red tenzo r seats in his eg. after 6 months the sun turned them pink)

depending on the seat you have, if you have a full bucket that uses side mounts or if you have a reclining seat. the seats that im looking at (r98) use a regular seat slider which they dont show prices for on the site and i didnt ask when i spoke with them. the s58 and s68 buckets use side mounts, on the site they have a few applications posted and the highest price for any honda that they listed was $165. i dont imagine that it would be more than that for our cars. i tried calling but they are closed on sundays, hopefully they will return my call soon.

p.s.
if any of yall is considering memory fab seats they are trying to get rid of all the red seats from the 2008 inventory. all of their red seats are on clearance.

are those the ones for $400/each or did they lower them more? I REALLY want to change my seats BUT since we have airbags on the seats I don't want a SRS light triped and I don't know how this affect the rest of the airbag system. I mean DAMN we have 8 airbags lol.

changing the seats only has an effect on the side air bags. the rest of them will work the way they are supposed to. you will get an srs light but you could either find a way to remove that light or get a relay to disable the light. i saw a post about seats some where on here that talked about using some sort of relay to disable the srs light.

the reclineable ones (r98) are $400 a piece. since ive started looking at them and thinking about it i think im going to go full buket. i never recline. my seat stays as up right as possible at all times so why have that dead weight? i think im going to get the s68. they have a special, 2 carbon fiber shell/red fabric seats for $700. and they only weigh 13lbs a piece.

I was gonna pick up that seat. They quoted me $500 shipped to my door in CF. $525 for Kevlar.....

If you want something really inexpensive that is decent, F1spec sells them CHEAP.

that pic above looks almost like the seats I have. I got the NRG carbon fiber seat that's non reclineable. I do reline I will be looking itno these. As far as disabling the SRS light it's just a matter of finding out the impedance/resistance of the airbag and put a resistor there. basically making the system "think" there are airbags there. If anyone knows this let me know. If not I'll do some research.
