2009 Fit Nav! Can It Go Into An 08??

so i love the fact that the new fit has a nav thats made for the car NOW obviously i know that the voice activation on the steering wheel will not work unless you maybe rig a button for it into where the coin holder goes or something. but i remember on my moms acura tl that the nav is way nicer than any aftermarket ive ever played with. so im wondering can this be done?? will collegehills perhaps carry this navigation for sale indevidually??? oh man this new car looks sick is it time to trade in! prob not but i really want navigation lol .

I highly doubt it. That new fit has a whole new dash design, i highly doubt it will drop right in. Plus if you did fit it in, i doubt all the features would work like they do in the 09. It would proably just work as a Navi. And it will be SUPER exspensive. Your probaly better off with a good aftermarket unit.

It may fit with a Kit, but thats a maybe. It looks like a pretty small system from what i have seen of it.
Man i have to say im tempted to get that car depending on price and all that. It looks pretty nice IMO..I like all the new features and stuff.

I'm pretty sure it'll fit. Reason being is that its the same one in the Acura's. If you look at the pictures in the new fit, the dash doesn't have a "custom" vehicle specific Navi, its a double din. Came one's they've been using in the Civic. You just need to buy a mount kit (ie scoche or metra). You can find them running for like 8-9 bills on ebay. Totally over priced and way lacking on technology. But it is OEM. Just search Acura Nav
