Anyone ever check out this unit?

VIC Ltd-NAVISURFER,CAR COMPUTER, CAR PC, TAXI COMPUTER, POLICE COMPUTER, AMBULANCE COMPUTER, COURIER CAR COMPUTER, MARINE COMPUTER

40-120GB HDD with a 1.0-1.3GHz processor, 256-512 RAM, can run either Windows or Linux, can run Bluetooth, GPS, etc.

With a 7" screen that can tilt up down left and right, it comes in at only $658 for the 120GB HDD!!!

Yep. That's definitely a good deal for what you'd be getting. Building your own car-pc comes to around that much, but is A LOT more work and takes up way more space than the unit u posted above.

Good find!

yeah...somebody quoted me about 700 for about the same specs.
i was going to custom build me a carputer. but the only difference is it would have been a 9 inch screen.

Yeah i think you can hide the PC somewhere behind the dash or under a seat, but the screen looks like it is permanently there...don't know if it retracts or not. I wonder how long it takes to boot up...

ok. im buying that. so effing rad! i was eventually going buy one of those super small carbon fiber sony vaios and mount it somewhere but this is much more awesome! i need this! i wish i could see a pic of it installed tho.
