UK Facia Adaptors

Morning,

I'm picking up my 2002 UK Jazz in the morning.

Does anyone know where I can get a UK dashboard facia suitable to take a single DIN stereo? I understand that the shape of the dashboard in the US Fit is a different shape due to the sterring wheel obviously being on the "wrong" side, so I need to get hold of the UK specific one rather than the Metra kits etc that are popular over in the US...

I've heard rumours that Honda themselves may do a kit, but I've not investigated that yet. If that is my only option, does anyone have a part number to save a bit of time?

Thanks for all your help,
Sally.

i think you will need to ask at your local dealer, but i think they will only have the double din version as for the Sat nav, & you will need a tray to fill in the gap... doubt they have a single din

I have the double din version from japan, .. i have been meaning to ask my local dealer to find out if they do a single tray so i can convert it too..

...And can the "tray" you mention also be purchased from the dealers in order to convert the double din space into a single din slot?

Do you have any photos of how your installation looks?

Thanks,
Sally.

UK dealers won't sell you one, I asked and first got told they didn't make one an then that they did but were out of stock and didn't look like making any more anytime soon. Goto Japanparts.com: TOKYO GM SHOKAI KK for the fascia plate for double din and for a blanking plate your best trying halfords or a local car stereo shop. Hope this helps

cant take any pics at the moment with my camera... but you need some thing like below:
ƒtƒBƒbƒgEƒI[ƒfƒBƒIƒfƒbƒLæ‚芷‚¦‹L@@FIT MAKOCCHAN

or you could try gary at Welcome to G-ONE AUTO Company
http://goneauto.com/images/photos/Jazz/I/j123.jpg

gary's parts are quite good, but he's based in Hong Kong so you need to email him for prices (£1 = HK$16 at the moment .... so its cheap!!! )...i will be putting an order in next month...

my local dealer WILL supply this part as long as you know the part number... they can also search for it on their computer..., as long you know the chassis number of a car with this part in it

try going to you local dealer and give them my chassis number - GD1-2173408, mine i think came with it as standard.. they will not have in UK stock.. but might have it in Belguim and will need to order it in. (If you have climate control.. i think it will not fit.. and will require a different chassis number)

I think the tray to fit under the stereo can be found in a CRV... (off to find a part number....)

my local dealer always trys to get parts in for me , even if it is not in stock or destined for Japan only...

my items next on my list ... Accord Euro R (any one know a chassis number for this car?? starting CL7.....)

I just bought a new facia plate for my Jazz 1.4LS CVT (2007). I got it from my local Honda dealer.
First when I ordered the car back in october 2006 they got a message from the main Honda office in Norway that it was not possible to mount a dual din GPS or singel din unit in the car. Even it was stated otherwise in the brochure...

Later in this summer I found a part number on a german Honda site, and went back to my local dealer and asked a technician on the workshop. He searched for the partnumber and found both the faceplate for dual din mounting and the tray to put in if you are using only a single din installation.
The partnumbers are as follows:
Kit, Audio Face Panel 08B00-SAA-611B
Pocket Radio 08B60-SAA-600

Yesterday I got it all installed in my car with a Pioneer AVIC-HD3BT (AVIC-Z2 in the US).
Here is some pictures from the installation: Flickr: Photos from F0NIX

Every brackets and screws for mounting those two units came with them, and there was also a very good installation manual. Follow that and nothing goes wrong.

Actually I didn't do that
I read the manual and thought : "easy!" and got to work. But I had forgot one small step about removing two bolts that held the orginal radio/CD-player, and I thougth it was only the clips that held it in place. Almost broke the old facial plate in the process before I discovered the two bolts. When I removed those everything went fine after that.

thats what i tried but they said that belgium had none in stock and had no idea when they would be getting them. If you order one from Japanparts it actually works out cheaper than what Honda UK quoted me as well, think it was £41 delivered

has anybody in your area tried to convert a regular HVAC into a Climate Control like yours? I'm just wondering since it looks so much nicer then the 3 knobs.
