I try using this search engine but I really dislike it and waiting 30 seconds between searches is a bit of a pain. SO I'm posting this here.

I just got the attachment kit for the GPS, I assumed it would have everything to put my garmin (exactly like in the pictures on hondas website). I realized there must be a bracket or SOMETHING else the attachment kit doesn't come with. I'm just wondering if anyone actually got the Honda offered one or has adapted their gps to the attachment kit.

Well I called Garmin, apparently the honda gps garmin is totally differant as it is designed for the attachment and the fit. To get the extra piece you need you must buy the gps they sell. So if anyone wants a 4mth old garmin Nuvi 350 unit let me know a price because I want to use the honda setup.

 

What????^Thats pretty lame...It only works with one kind of GPS?

 

The base that allows you to attach your gps ONLY comes with the honda GPS unit, not the attachment kit they sell. The attachment kit they sell has all the wiring but not the base. I contact Garmin and they can't get just the base and do not sell the honda gps for the Honda Fit. You must buy the GPS thru a honda dealer/store. SUCKS

*Unless someone knows how to get ahold of just the base but I contacted honda and garmin about this matter and the only way to get a base is with the honda gps unit, even though its a garmin product.
